Apart from the likes of Google,
YouTube, Facebook, Wikipedia and
Twitter, there are scores of Nigerian
websites that attract millions of visitors
every day.In this post we will randomly take a
look at 50 of these websites based on
their traffic statistics.

1. Bet9ja.com

Founded by Kunle Soname, Bet9ja is an
online bookmaker company that offers
betting on major sporting events
operating in Nigeria. The company is
traded under KC Gaming Networks
Limited and run by a series of
shareholders of multiple nationalities.
The website is licensed by the Lagos
State Lotteries Board (LSLB) with
permission to operate in other parts of
Nigeria. According to Alexa.com, Bet9ja
is the second most visited website in
Nigeria, only next to Google.com, as at
September 2018.

2. Legit.ng

Formerly known as Naij.com and also
Naija.com, Legit.ng is the number one
news website in Nigeria. You can find
information on virtually any topic on
Legit.ng. The website is a Nigerian
digital media and news platform and it
is one of the most visited website in
Nigeria by Alexa. Legit.ng is the biggest
Ngerian publisher on Facebook by the audience
in ‘Media’ category

3. Nairaland.com

Created by Seun Osewa in 2005,
Nairaland is the most popular forum
website in the country. Nairaland has
2,190,050 registered members and
4,775,197 topics created (as at February
22, 2019) and the website is also one of
the most visited site in Nigeria with a
maximum 3% of Nigerian internet users
registered on the platform.
Figures published by Nairaland in June
2013 suggest that they had 16,668,654
visits from 6,845,453 unique visitors
and 60,031,356 pageviews in the 30 days
of that month. In January 2019,
Nairaland witnessed 37,865,408 visits
from 9,251,361 unique visitors, totaling
into 260,881,761 pageviews.

websites in the country because of its
celebrity news section. The platform is
the most visited music and
entertainment website in the country
