- Chelsea will face Bayern Munich in the Round of 16.
- The Polish striker scored 31 goals in 25 games in all competitions for the German giants.
- Rudiger thinks Lewandowski is becoming better with every season.
Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger has sent his teammates a warning about Robert Lewandowski who will lead the line for Bayern Munich on the Champions League Round of 16 tie against the Blues.
As someone who’s experienced playing against the Pole in Bundesliga, Rudiger is well-positioned to know the risks.
“Mauro Icardi, Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski have been the best No.9s in recent years. Lewandowski looks to have gotten even better this season,” said Rüdiger as quoted by Bundesliga’s official website.
“I have a lot of respect for him. It’ll be a tough challenge to be able to keep him in check. We can only do that as a team.”
In 2019-20, Lewandowski scored 31 goals in 25 games in all competitions, including 10 strikes in 5 Champions League appearances. The 31-year-old is arguably the greatest danger Chelsea will face on February 25 and March 18 when the Blues face the German giants.
