Frank Lampard tells Chelsea fans what they want to hear on Christian Pulisic ahead of Man City

Frank Lampard has confirmed that Christian Pulisic is fit and in contention to face Manchester City tomorrow (Saturday).

The American international had been a doubt for the trip to the Etihad Stadium, after being ruled out of the USA’s fixtures over the international break, after sustaining a hip injury in Chelsea’s 2-0 win against Crystal Palace before the break.

But Lampard has confirmed that Pulisic should be available to play against Pep Guardiola’s men tomorrow.

“He didn’t go, he was struggling against Palace. He has been training and is in contention,” Lampard said, speaking at his pre-match press conference .”

That will be a major boost to Chelsea fans, with Pulisic a man in form after scoring five goals in recent weeks for the Blues.

He has netted in each of his last three top flight games for Chelsea, and could becomethe first American to score in four consecutive Premier League games, should he find the net at the Etihad Stadium.
However, there was not such good news about one of his team-mates, with Lampard confirming that Callum Hudson-Odoi is likely to miss the game.

“Callum has a hamstring problem, he is struggling to make this game,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lampard said there was no further news on Ruben Loftus-Cheek as the midfielder continues his recovery from an Achilles injury, having not featured yet for the Blues this season.
