Joel Matip who plays for Liverpool has been ruled out for the next six weeks
– The Cameroon international is expected to miss
the big tie against Manchester City
– Liverpool are still topping the Premier League
standings with 28 points after 10 games
Current Premier League leaders Liverpool have been
hit with a blow as the Reds will now have to play
without star defender Joel Matip for the next six
weeks due to knee injury.
Although Joel Matip has been out for some time
and only played one game in Liverpool’s last five
before his spell on the sidelines was extended.
The Cameroon international actually sustained the
knee injury in Liverpool’s Premier League win over
Sheffield United, and the initial information was that
the issue was not serious.
Matip however returned to action in Liverpool’s 1-1
Premier League draw against Manchester United at
Old Trafford, but missed the Champions League
against Genk.
