Real Madrid superstar Eden Hazard has revealed
that taking the number 7 shirt from Cristiano
Ronaldo is not an easy task. The famous number
7 shirt of Madrid went to Mariano after Ronaldo
left the club.
It didn’t turn out well for the forward as he ended
last season with only 13 league appearances to
his name and scored only three times. This
summer, when the Galacticos signed Hazard, the
number 7 shirt was taken away from Mariano and
given to the Belgian.
Speaking about it, the former Lille star stated that
taking the shirt was historic.
“Taking this shirt after Cristiano isn’t easy, he’s
historic,” Hazard said, as per Marca .
Hazard, who hasn’t had the best start to the
season as he has only scored one goal in the
campaign thus far, then went on to speak about
the objectives for the current season, stating that
the club are willing to give everything in order to
win every possible trophy. He also spoke about
how keen he is to win the Champions League.
