– Ruben Dias becomes latest Manchester City
target ahead of January transfer window
– The 22-year-old has featured nine times in all
competitions for Portuguese side Benfica
– Dias could fill the void left by Laporte and
Stones who are currently injured
Premier League champions Manchester City are
reportedly planning to make a move for Benfica
defender Ruben Dias when the January transfer
window opens.

The Citizens have lost two matches and drawn one
in their first eight games this campaign- leaving
them eight points behind last season’s runners up
Liverpool.
Their recent defeat was at the Etihad Stadium
when Adama Traore struck twice in the second half
to power Wolverhampton to a 2-0 victory.
Pep Guardiola is now hoping to secure the services
of Portuguese defender Dias to solve his side’s
defensive problems – with Argentine’s Nicolas
Otamendi failing to measure up to the quality of
his team.
England international John Stones might be back
for the defending champions later this month but
he might not be rushed back to action.
The Spanish born tactician has however had to
field Brazil midfielder Fernandinho as a make-shift
center back, paring him alongside Nicolas
Otamendi, 31, who has been full of errors.
And the errors might force Man City chiefs to land
a defender during the winter transfer window as
reported by The Mirror.
