
Etienne Eto’o, the son former Cameroon legend
Samuel, has been named in the Cameroon squad
for the forthcoming FIFA Under-17 World Cup in
Brazil.
Etienne, who is captain of Mallorca U-17 side says
he is desperate to prove his worth in the
tournament and help the team achieve their goals.
He said as qouted👉 “Even if my father is a big number nine, I do not
feel any different from you (the Cameroonian u17 team) . I’m nothing more,” Eto’o
junior said in a video message released by the
Cameroon Football Federation.
“I’m coming here to help you and be a positive
member of the squad.”
Samuel Eto’o, the father is Cameroon all-time top
scorer, scoring 56 times in 118 caps for the
national team.
Cameroon will take on Argentina, Spain and
Tajikistan in Group E in Brazil.
The teams that will play in the 2019 FIFA Under-17 World Cup are:
Angola, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile,
Ecuador, France, Haiti, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Korean
Republic, Mexico, Netherlands, Newzealand, Nigeria,
Paraguay, Solomon Islands, Spain, Tajikistan and
USA.
