Breaking: Chibok On Fire As Boko Haram Burns Houses

Boko Haram insurgents attacked Mifa, a village
in Chibok local government of area in Borno
State on Friday evening.
TheCable reports that the terrorists arrived at the
village on motorcycles around 8:00 and started
burning houses.

The Cable quotes
confirmed the incident.
The source said, “They are burning houses as I
speak to you, many of them arrived with
motorcycles and started attacking the village.”
He said many villagers escaped and the attack
has caused panic in neighbouring villages.

“They have burnt so many houses especially
because it is night and the terrain of the place,”
he added.“We don’t know of any casualty yet.

The troops
just arrived although the insurgents are still
inside the villages.”

Mifa is eight kilometres from Chibok town and
shares a border with Sambisa forest.

The Nigerian government had claimed it had
decimated the insurgents
A few weeks ago, the President reiterated the
claim that he had decimated the insurgents,
though, admitting that there were still remnants.
Meanwhile, the army claimed the terrorists are
now on the run for their lives, adding that it had
acquired powerful weapons to deal with them
once and for all.

Do remember that In April 2014, Boko Haram kidnapped 276
female students from the Government Secondary
School in the same Chibok community.
A few months after, about 57 of the girls
reportedly escaped as the world reacted, while
the Nigerian government engaged in a blamed
game.
