
Ogere Siasia, mother of former Super Eagles captain
and coach Samson Siasia, has been released by her
abductors after ten weeks in captivity.
According to a report on The Nation, Siasia’s 80-
year-old mother was released, alongside the two
other family members who were in kidnappers’ den.
Madam Ogere Siasia, mother of former Super
Eagles striker and Coach, Samson Siasia has
been abducted by unknown gunmen suspected to
be kidnappers. She was kidnapped alongside two
other close family members.
The other victims whose names were given as
Florence Dounana, age 65, and her daughter
Selekere Dounana, age 17, are close family
members of the Siasias.
DAILY POST gathered that the 76-year-old and the
two other victims were abducted at about 2am,
Monday morning from their family home in Odoni,
Sagbama Local Government of Bayelsa State.
DAILY POST also Reported that Madam Ogere Siasia,
was first kidnapped in November 2015 and her
released was secured after 12 days.
A close family source confirmed the development, stating that the incident happened
midnight while she was sleeping at her home
town.
Meanwhile, TVC News confirmed that the
octogenarian has been reunited with her family in
Bayelsa state.
Madam Ogere was abducted from her family house
in Odoni community on Monday, July 15.
This will be the second time Mrs Siasia will be
forcefully taken away from her home as she spent
12 days before regaining her freedom back in
November 2015.
Ace journalist Godwin Enakhena had claimed
Samson Siasia was sliding into depression
following his mother’s kidnap but as at the time of
this report, he is yet to make a statement following
her release.
