The Super Eagles shot-stopper was in fine form as
he helped his team secure all three points. Daniel
Akpeyi produced a five-star performance in Kazier
Chiefs’ 1-0 win over Baroka FC in the Premier
Soccer League.
The Nigerian international was dropped to the bench
as South Africa’s number one Itumeleng Khune
returned to the starting XI after a lengthy spell on
the sidelines.
Akpeyi who has come under heavy criticisms from
the Amakhosi fans in recent weeks once again
proved his critics wrong.
But he said this to his critics after the match:
“I want to dedicate this [award] to myself because
that’s the only true supporter I have,”
